Cocteau Twins – Lorelei

Ah, the strangeness of Liz Fraser’s mostly neologistic lyrics.

In times like these we need to wear some GIANT TROUSERS and have a bit of a (sexy) dance.

Rapsody – Ibtihaj ft. D’Angelo, GZA

I LOVE the wonkiness and discord in this song.

D’Angelo provides the groove. MMMMMMMMMMhmmmm!

The Cure – Why can’t I be you?

I had completely forgotten about this song til last night. Loved every minute. Those indie pop disco moments of silliness amongst the hairspray, backcombing and indelible red lipstick. A VERY muddy night to remember, and I’ll be singing this song in my head for a Very Long Time.

(also, this video is bonkers)

The Cure – Let’s Go To Bed

I don’t care if you don’t, and I don’t feel if you don’t, and I don’t want it if you don’t, and I won’t say it if you don’t say it first!

Nearly time for Bobert! WHEEEE!

The Cure – A Forest

Back in the mists of time, I recall learning to play this on the bass in a school hall…

And tomorrow, I go back to see them in a muddy field!
