Louis Armstrong – ‘Zat You, Santa Claus?

My new favourite Christmas song.

Lord Kitchener – Christmas Greetings

I love some Calypso Christmas.

Merry Christmas, Cheers to all of us!

The Animals – We Gotta Get Out of This Place

I think you can guess why I’m posting this one today…

Joni Mitchell – River

My favourite not-quite Christmas song. Joni was just on the radio and I realised I’d not heard this song this year yet.

Harry Belafonte – Jump in the Line

This was played on the radio yesterday morning and as I was dancing round the bathroom brushing my teeth I was especially tickled by the line “when she wind up she bottom, she goes like a rocket” and I found myself singing the line in my head all day.

Talking Heads – Nothing but Flowers

As a lover of urban nature, I am always thrilled when I see nature softening the edges of our cities. Today I was walking through a tiny urban park on my way to my yoga class and I realised the path was completely obliterated by fallen leaves. And I started singing this song in my head.

Anderson.Paak – Jet Black (feat. Brandy)

I was just about to post this song as an earworm and it came on the radio. Hmmm, am I able to change reality with my imaginings?

We peakin.

Free Love – Bones

I would willingly join this acid house wicker man cult. Where are my robes?

Michael Kiwanuka – You Ain’t The Problem

I’ve always had a soft spot for psychedelic soul and this hits the spot very nicely. I have been singing the la la la la bits to myself all week!

(and some lovely joyous natural dancing in the video)

Judy Street – What

Missing my Northern Soul dance classes while I’m on holiday!
