I’m going to see Bill Callahan tonight. I love lots of his songs, but this is the one currently swimming around my brain.

Unfortunately the version in my head is the one with Jack White on guitar, and it’s not available on youtube. Just imagine his howlin’, rockin’, choppy blues guitar all over this version.
When I was a teenager, I listened to John Peel to discover new and interesting music. I bought this album (Climate of Hunter) when it came out, and I was just reminded of it yesterday by a friend who had just discovered it. And obviously it’s stuck in my head now. Wonderful.
